Dr. Hal Kinkeade has served First Baptist as Pastor since 1993. Ordained to the gospel ministry in 1965, he has served churches in Texas and Louisiana. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served on various boards with the Southern Baptist Convention and with the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. Hal received his honorary Doctor of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University in 2001. His wife, Sandy, is the director of our ever growing Preschool Department and is employed by the Springtown ISD. Together they minister not only to the FBC family but the entire Springtown community. Hal and Sandy have two sons, one daughter, and six grandchildren.

Rev. John Miller has served First Baptist as the Associate Pastor since 2001, first on a part-time basis and then fulltime since 2004. He has pastored churches in Washington and Texas and is a graduate of the Baptist Bible College and Bethany Theological Seminary. He currently teaches a Men’s Bible study and plays in the orchestra. His wife, Brenda, serves FBC as the Education/Music Secretary and also oversees our Girls in Action ministry. John & Brenda have three sons, two daughters, and six grandchildren.

JB Perry has served First Baptist as Music Minister since 1996. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas. He is also actively involved at FBC as an Adult Sunday school teacher. JB has retired from fulltime teaching with the Springtown ISD but serves as the district’s Fine Arts Director. His wife, Erma, is also a retired school teacher. They have a daughter and a son, and two grandchildren.

Rev. Robert Owensby has served First Baptist as Minister of Missions/Senior Adults since 2006. He has pastored churches in Texas and in Canada and served 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is a graduate of the Criswell Bible College. Robert leads our outreach visitation ministry. He and his wife, Connie, have three sons, one daughter, and nine grandchildren.
